Whatcha mean HK? Quality of the movie, or quality of the Blu-Ray?
Gladiator I mean the quality of the film (average at best) with Blade Runner I meant the quality/quantity of the bluray package. Though I don't like Blade Runner, either. I have always liked Ridley Scott movies overall, and that includes Gladiator. Interestingly, I received 3 Ridley Scott Blu-Rays for Christmas.
Plus, it was a gift and super cheap.

The U.S. version had a subtitle issue -- the first release had inferior subtitles and the new replacement finally has the original theatrical subs. However, no guarantee that if you order it online, you will get the corrected version if the retailer might have old stock. Plus, the UK version includes a commentary not included on the US one.

Yeah - I saw the "butchered" version of Let the Right One In. I don't know if it would improve my overall impression of the movie though.
On a related topic, the American remake has a release date of October 1st.

Well, at least that explains why you have it. I'm not a fan of Ridley Scott, myself. For me, he's a bit like Tim Burton, in that I think I like him, but when I look at all the films he's made, I like about 3. EP: Thanks for clearing that up. I thought that there might be an extra that the UK version had the US didn't, but I didn't think that you'd pay the extra just for that. The subtitling issue is much more understandable. And, wd, I'd certainly recommend seeing the film again. I've spoken to a few American's who saw the film on dvd and didn't like it that much. Usually because it was the dubbed version, which explains a lot. Maybe it's the same with the subtitles. ----------------- I often wonder how I'm going to die. You don't want to embarrass friends.

I will not watch a movie dubbed. Always subtitled. Maybe I should try it again, although I bet it will be much harder to find a different copy here in my Red state. ----------------- Hello, fellow American. This you should vote me. I leave power. I've not seen it yet, but I do hear that it's great. Only cost a few quid, so it seemed wrong not to. ----------------- I often wonder how I'm going to die. You don't want to embarrass friends.
