A very good midweek for Kenage put him at the top of the pile, not only for the weekend, but overall too. Well done, sir. EPlayer's two correct predictions helped her to eight points, while I only managed four points.

With one result to come and a horrible weekend for United fans, here's what happened in the Premier League. 16 February 2010 Stoke City 1-1 Manchester City 17 February 2010 Wigan Athletic 0-0 Bolton Wanderers 20 February 2010 Everton 3-1 Manchester United Arsenal 2-0 Sunderland West Ham United 3-0 Hull City Wolverhampton Wndrs 0-2 Chelsea Portsmouth 1-2 Stoke City 21 February 2010 Blackburn Rovers 3-0 Bolton Wanderers Aston Villa 5-2 Burnley Fulham 2-1 Birmingham City Manchester City 0-0 Liverpool Wigan Athletic 0-3 Tottenham Hotspur 23 February Manchester United 3-0 West Ham United Here's how we did. honeykid 17+4 EPlayer 13+3 Kenage 9+1 Overall table honeykid 150+27 Kenage 149+26 EPlayer 145+25 IRL a poor weekend, but a good one here for me, with seventeen points coming my way and four correct predictions, I ended up on top this round. Yay me! EPlayer managed thirteen points and three correct predictions, while Kenage took nine points, with one correct prediction. All that means the the overall the table has really closed up and now there's only five points between top and bottom. It looks as if it's going to be a race to the very end this season. That United result closed it up even more, as EPlayer correctly predicted the 3-0 win. Here's the weekend's fixtures.
Feb 27th 2010 Birmingham v Wigan Athletic 15.00 Bolton v Wolves 15.00 Burnley v Portsmouth 15.00 Chelsea v Man City 12.45 Stoke City v Arsenal 17.30
Feb 28th 2010 Liverpool v Blackburn 15.00 Sunderland v Fulham 15.00 Tottenham v Everton 13.00
You'll notice that neither Manchester United or Aston Villa are playing this weekend in the Premier League and that's because they're both playing for the first piece of silverware of the season, the League Cup.
Villa will be desperate to win their first cup since 1996 (which was also the League Cup.)
The question is whether United, now having stopped rivals Manchester City from making the final, go back to playing the 'kids' as they usually do or play their best team. By about 5pm Sunday, we'll know.
Finally, here's the Premier League table.
1 Chelsea 19 4 4 2 Manchester United 19 3 6 3 Arsenal 17 4 6 4 Tottenham Hotspur 13 7 7 5 Manchester City 12 10 4 6 Liverpool 13 6 8 7 Aston Villa 12 9 5 8 Everton 10 8 8 9 Fulham 10 7 10 10 Birmingham City 10 7 9 11 Stoke City 8 10 8 12 Blackburn Rovers 9 7 11 13 West Ham United 6 9 12 14 Sunderland 6 8 12 15 Wigan Athletic 6 7 13 16 Wolverhampton Wndrs 6 6 14 17 Hull City 5 9 13 18 Bolton Wanderers 5 8 13 19 Burnley 6 5 15 20 Portsmouth 4 4 18
Good luck!

Here's the weekends results. EPlayer 6+1 honeykid 6+1 Kenage 5 Overall table honeykid 156+28 Kenage 154+26 EPlayer 151+26 I definately missed the Saturday games, but I can't remember when I posted, though I'm fairly sure it was at least an hour or so after they finished, so I've dismissed Kenage's Saturday predictions too. I never know what the time is on the site. How many hours is it behind GMT? Anyway, if it turns out that you got them in on time, I'll go back and change it, though, to be honest, you'll probably be better off taking the away points from that day. A close round again, with myself and EPlayer having to share the top spot this weekend. With EPlayer it was her guessing ability, while missing Saturday's games paid off for me, as it meant I took 3 away points. We also picked up a correct prediction each. Kenage took third with just a point less. Here's the next set of fixtures. Well, it was United, who defended their trophy with a 2-1 win over Aston Villa. Rooney scored the winner after coming on as a substitute for Michael Owen, who went of with a hamstring injury near the end of the first half. 41 minutes gone if memory serves. Review of game from The GuardianAnd here's a review from Boston.comNeedless to say, I was very happy Sunday afternoon. ----------------- I often wonder how I'm going to die. I saw some of this last night on ESPN. It took me 10 minutes of game time to figure out which side was which side. You know, it was a lot of running this way and that way and nobody seemed to have much CONTROL where they wanted the ball to go -- just AWAY from the opponent's goal! Hee hee. My totally uninformed view. It was kind of like watching a basketball game where someone stole the ball on every play.

Sorry about the weekend's fixutes. I've had a poor week and a bad weekend. I just didn't get around to putting them all up. Will try to do better. BTW, I'll be honest and say Wigan v Liverpool isn't the best advert for the Premier League most times, but the current Liverpool team is really poor. My granddad used to complain that a bad game of football was like watching Basketball. ----------------- I often wonder how I'm going to die. You don't want to embarrass friends.
